Mission/Vision
We strive to provide fleet management, fuel, and maintenance support in a professional, cost effective and efficient manner to the Departments of Dona Ana County. The Fleet Services Department is a professional organization recognized by our customers as a valuable business partner who enables them to provide superior service to the citizens of Dona Ana County. Fleet Services Department is committed to provide a full range of fleet management services, with the utmost commitment to have the safest and most efficient fleet possible.
Fleet Management
We provide fleet management to our customer departments. This includes fuel, vehicle replacement planning, specification writing, purchasing, vehicle delivery and preparation, registration, as well as disposal of surplus vehicles. These services are provided by our 14 employees who strive to provide the best customer service to internal departments.
The Fleet Department contracts with outside vendors to provide fuel to all county departments. The staff provides fuel cards to users and monitors fuel usage. The department has two service trucks to fuel equipment and perform services out in the field and one tow truck to recover county vehicles as necessary. On the maintenance side, the department provides full service maintenance, parts procurement, and repairs in its shop or by contract with outside specialty shops.

The number of vehicles and equipment Fleet Services supports includes but not limited to; cars, trucks, construction equipment, trailers, generators, and ATV’s, totaling over 800 units.
• Patrol Units – Over 180 emergency vehicles
• Construction Equipment – Over 70 units
• Light Vehicles and Heavy Trucks – Over 270 vehicles
ASE Certified
Dona Ana County has ASE certified personnel some certifications include:
• A4 – Suspension and Steering
• A5 – Brakes
• Service Consultant Specialist
• Light and Heavy Parts Specialist
GPS Monitoring
Dona Ana County Fleet Services Department uses Intellishift to monitor GPS services in order to improve safety, minimize fuel costs, reduce operational costs, increase productivity, theft recovery, reduce unused vehicle inventory, and more.
Electric Vehicles
Dona Ana County is moving towards an electric fleet by procuring an EV Arc solar charging station, selecting county wide permanent charging station locations, and begin replacing vehicles that are transferable to electric.
